Girlz Only Dry Shampoo Review

Hello everyone, so I’m doing a slightly different blog post today. Today I am going to be reviewing the ‘Girlz Only Dry Shampoo, Dawn ’til Dusk.’ So I have never been a big fan of dry shampoo. I felt as if it made my hair look discoloured and left a horrible texture in my hair, it also made my hands feel really strange and horrible and overall I was never a big fan of it and avoided using it if possible. However, that is until I saw this dry shampoo in our bathroom cabinet.

With a refreshing citrus fragrance instantly breathes new life into dull, greasy hair between washes leaving hair feeling clean and fresh that’s full of body and bounce

girlz only

At first I was skeptical of using it as I thought it could be just as horrible as other dry shampoo’s which I have used. But I was pleasantly surprised. When I sprayed this in my hair it made it instantly come back to life and didn’t leave white like dust in my hair like other dry shampoo brands. It also didn’t feel sticky/wet when I rubbed it in (am I the only one who uses my hands to get dry shampoo in my hair when I’ve sprayed it on?) it also smells really nice. The smell is a fresh smelling smell. Like most dry shampoo brands I don’t mind the smell but sometimes I can smell the smell of the dry shampoo all day and sometimes it is a bit over powering.

How I Style: Grunge / Alternative

Hello everyone, today I am finally doing a fashion blog post!!! (I know my name doesn’t really go with my blog seeing as I do more makeup ones… but when I started I was going to do mainly fashion. Anyway…) Today I am going to show you how I put together some outfits if I want to dress a little bit more alternative and grunge, because believe me, somedays I’ll just want jeans and a normal t-shirt, other days I want to dress alternative.

This is one of my favourite outfits and it’s so easy to put together. You could do this with any band t-shirt and I think that this looks really nice having a band t-shirt tucked into a skirt. I then paired this with a pair of purple tights as I felt it was different and looked a bit cooler than just regular black tights. You could go more fancy with this and have patterned tights if you want to make your outfit more grunge-y looking. The boots I used are my of my most favourite shoes in the world. They are black lace wedge boots, unfortunately they don’t sell these anymore. But you could probably find similar ones somewhere online. On my wrist I have just got some woven wristbands, which I really like. You can often find them in little seaside shops so whenever I go on holiday I also grab at least one. The necklace I am wearing was given to me by my cousin, and I thought it went with the outfit. The necklace has little black plastic feeling type things with gold bits in the middle which adds contrast.

This next outfit is very different and depending on where you wear it, it looks quite nice. The hat is a large fedora which I got off of eBay, which I think goes well with this outfit and gives it a little more. The dress is a black skater dress which I got off Amazon. The only issue is the belt, I have to sticky back the belt to the back because it is too big. If you are skinny like me, I would not recommend this dress because you have to sticky back the belt, and it does come unstuck easily. The tights I have paired with this are a pair of plain black tights and the shoes again are my black lace wedge boots. The necklace is one that I wore a lot whilst taking outfit photos because it went with most of my outfits. I was also given this so do not know where it is from.

Best £1 Lipsticks?!

Hello everyone, so when it comes to makeup I absolutely love finding good, affordable makeup, and yes, having some higher end products is also nice to splurge on (when you have the money) but for being a student, sometimes you have to buy the cheaper makeup, and sometimes cheap makeup can actually be extremely good, so today I am going to share with you my favourite £1 lipsticks!

These lipsticks are from Freedom Makeup London and are all £1 each. Freedom Makeup do these lipstick sets with five different lipsticks in, and when I order lots of stuff from their site I got a set of their ‘Favourites Lipstick Collection.’ In this set I got five different lipsticks from all different sets that they sell. The set was £5 but I got five lipsticks so £1 each, which is exactly what there separate lipsticks cost.

Freedom Pro Highlight Palette Review

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Hopefully now that my exams are over my blog posts will increase in quality as I know over these past couple of months they have been no so good, but I’m back now!

Today I am going to be reviewing the Freedom Pro Highlight Platte. Now if you didn’t know I am such a huge fan of Makeup Revolution and it just so happens that Freedom Makeup London is like the connecting brand, something like that. I’m not quite sure. I have always wanted to get a highlight palette from Makeup Revolution so when I ordered £50 worth of makeup off of Freedom Makeup London, I had high hopes for the products that I would receive.

IMG_1487One product that I received was one of the highlight palettes. I instantly fell in love! And this product is only £6! Inside the palette it has a huge mirror, which is very good, but I find that with all Makeup Revolution products as well, the mirrors inside the palettes were pristine and reflect very well. (If you own too many palettes you will understand what I mean by the mirrors)

Inside the palette you get six creme highlighters and two shimmer highlighters. I really love the colour choices as well that you get. I feel like this palette is excellent for summer but also winter. On the left hand side of the palette you get more cold highlighter shades such as white, a very nude light pink and a blue. These would be perfect in the winter for creating shimmery winter looks. On the right hand side you have colours which are more likely to be used in the summer. You have an orange highlighter with a hint of pink, A dark pink highlighter and a more natural pink colour. These are perfect for the summer to give your face some shimmer.

Freedom VS Miss Sporty Eyeliner

IMG_1573Hello everyone, so over this past year liquid eyeliner has become something which I use on a regular basis. I normally use the ‘Miss Sporty Studio Lash Eyeliner’ but two weeks ago I ordered loads of makeup from ‘Freedom Makeup London’ and got an eyeliner in there. So today I thought that I would put both eyeliners to the test and see which one is better!

To begin the Freedom eyeliner cost £1.50 and honestly, I
think that for the price, this eyeliner is FANTASTIC! The brush is also smaller, so you have more precision over what you are doing and therefore can IMG_1500create neater lines. However, by doing this it takes longer to do your eyeliner, and I also found that it was slightly harder to create a thin line above my lashes. This eyeliner is also very black, which I really like. I also thought that the formula was not as wet as Miss Sporty. The Freedom eyeliner also does not smudge throughout the day, so you don’t end up with specks of black where there shouldn’t be. Another thing I found which is super good, but also slightly annoying at the end of the day is that this eyeliner is extremely water proof! Meaning, when I get out of the shower I still have visible lines where the flick had been.

Freedom Makeup London Haul

Hello everyone, so some of you may have heard of this brand before, some of you may have not, it is a relatively new brand to the cosmetic scene and they are like the linking brand/company to Makeup Revolution London. So I went onto their website and saw that they where doing a deal for £50 worth of makeup for £25, however this is only a UK deal. So I immediately bought the makeup and waited ‘patiently’ for it to arrive.

So this first product is probably one of my favourite makeup products of all time! This is the ‘Pro Highlight Palette’ and oh my word, this is just beautiful! In this palette you get two shimmer highlights and six creme highlighters, my favoruite two is definitely the two shimmer ones. The texture of the creme and shimmer highlights are very soft and not chalky which, by looking at the shimmers especially look like they might be chalky, but they are not. I would 100% recommend this palette if you are looking for an affordable highlight palette, and this palette would be especially good for the summer because of the light colours in it.

This next product is also one of the products which I am really loving using at the minute and it is the ‘Matte Bare’ eyeshadow palette. I absolutely love this palette because there is no shimmers in it! Don’t get me wrong, I love shimmer eyeshadows but some days you just want a matte eye shadow and I feel like this is an essential palette especially for that reason, also, because of the wide range of colours you get which you could create so many different looks with. These eye shadows are also very soft as well, they almost feel like silk, not chalky and high pigmentation. This cost £4

This is another eye shadow palette, except this one has shimmers and mattes in. This is called ‘ Smoulder.’ This eye shadow palette contains a lot of great colours which could be used for all different types of occasions, although I feel like this palette is more of a evening palette and you could create so many different eye looks. Compared to the last eye shadow palette, this palette feels a little bit more chalky, especially the shimmers, all-in-all a great palette and again this was only £4

This is the last for the eye shadows, from the offer I got five mono eye shadows, which I have never really been a fan of just buying one eye shadow when you could get a palette with a range of colours, but this has opened up my eyes, I now want to go and buy more mono eye shadows because they are just so easy and perfect for travel (if you only want to take one eye shadow or only like one eye shadow?!)
From left to right – Gilded collection 220, Nude collection 208, Brights collection 222, Brights collection 227, Base collection 204.
All of these eye shadows are super pigmented, like ridiculously pigmented, but they are not chalky which makes me extremely happy. Each eye shadow is £1 each!

Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate Palette Review

Hello everyone, so as many other beauty junkies/ gurus out there we have all probably heard of the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, as this is high end though this is quite expensive for most of us, especially students or someone with a part time job, this is where high street brands come into play. I absolutely love Makeup Revolution, if you have not already been able to tell from my numerous amounts of blog posts on them! Makeup Revolution is a high street brand that sell amazing cosmetics for half of the price of higher makeup brands.

I recently went a purchased the ‘Naked Chocolate’ palette from them after various different trips into Superdrug and finally buying it. This palette I have to say is the palette which I always reach for in the morning, there is no colour in this palette which I would not use. In the palette you get a range of different colours from shimmers to mattes, I also love that you get two long white eyeshadows in the top left and bottom right which is perfect for brightening your inner corner or as a base before you put on your eyeshadow.
