Hello everyone, today I am going to be doing something different and interviewing a fellow blogger who I totally recommend that you check out because her blog is awesome! So lets begin!
Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you started blogging?
My names Rebecca and I’m 16 years old and I live in the UK. I started blogging last summer after contemplating it for a long time. I always saw so many posts on Instagram from b;loggers and I knew that it was what I wanted to be doing. As the summer is so long, I had a lot of free time and I just decided to go for it.
2. How did you get into blogging?
I had been following lots of blogs for a long time and I have so many interests that I needed a way to be able to talk about them.
3. Where do you get your inspiration to blog from?
Mainly Instagram. I love photography and I always take the photos before the writing and then base the post around that.
4. What are your favourite brands and shops?
Benefit has to be included in this list! Their products are to die for! I always love Urban Outfitters and ASOS
5. What is your ‘holy grail’ beauty product?
I have to say Dandelion blusher by Benefit. It was my first high end product and I think that’s part of the reason why I love it so much (aside from the fact it’s a beautiful product)
6. Do you have any hidden talents?
Not really talents but I have some hobbies! I play guitar, flute and piano! I do numerous sports but my favoruites are long distance running, horse-riding and netball. I think there are 9 in total!
7. What’s your favourite thing to do in your spare time?
I love to play music sport and blog.
8. How do you want to improve next year?
I would love to show a bit more dedication to my blog, I always seem to let things get in the way, which means there’s often a lack of blog posts!
9. In the future, where do you hope your blog will take you?
I would love to work with more brands and improve my content. I feel like my photography has improved loads from when I started, so I hope it can improve further!
10. Would you encourage others to start a blog, if so, what it your advice.
Yes yes yes! If you’re interested, make sure you want to do it for the right reasons. If you don’t enjoy it, no matter how much free products you could be getting one day (which some people do think about when starting!), you won’t be happy. And your happiness should be your number one priority!
11. What’s your proudest achievement
Probably producing my Christmas giveaway! It was stressful at times, but I’m so so proud of myself for pulling it off (especially in the midst of exams)!
12. How do you balance your blog and personal life?
This is one of the questions I’m probably not qualified to answer! I am the absolute worst at this! I think the most important thing to remember is your life should come first. If that means taking a break from blogging, so be it. And by doing things in your life, you have content to blog about!
13. Where do you hope to be in 5 years’ time?
I’m not completely sure yer! If I could chose one thing to be doing, it would be to start my own business and be full time blogging. I would love to be a travel blogger as well!
Thank you for reading this blog post, I hope you found it interesting and you now have another blogger to check out. Thank you to Rebecca for agreeing to do this interview with me! Lots of love; Alisha xxx
